So now I have to get my read on.
Anthems new models are coming out soon. They upped the HDMI ports to 7 with just about all the features the Pio SC models have, but they dont have as many channels (still not sure their 4 ohm wattage though). Looking forward to when my local shop gets some in as I will want to play with them for sure!
Looks like they are gonna be the closest competitor to giving the SC models a run for their money.

I found them to fall short against last years models line for line. But they do sound pretty good and are pretty nicely built. They are priced very well.Dan

Somebodies really thinking hard about Anthem. If the price is right and is 4ohm compatible, I say give it a whirl.Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

Why 4 ohm capable ? Aside from surround speakers, I would never drive a 4ohm speaker off any receiver. Pioneer included. Maybe a bookie to some degree, but most 4 ohm speakers won't sound their best without a lot of clean current flowing in. To me, 4 ohm capability is useless if you plan on running a heavy load. Pre-outs....amp.....that's more important and more effective.HT SYSTEM-
