Hello all,
Anyone upgrade to this service yet? In the field I have experienced some poor performance and lack of knowledge and support from Comcast to get these system working properly. I had a Job down the Shore that had 8 TV's and only 3 of them worked correctly. The Tv's with the new X1 RNG150N Boxes wouldn't connect to the Comcast network. They would reboot when they sent the setup signals but wouldn't join. They kept coming up to a Xfinity Setup screen.

Personally currently I have Verizon and honestly have no complaints about the service price or performance other then the recently added ads every time you turn on your Tv to watch and try to go to the guide for the first time, they now have these completely annoying ads to upgrade service and such. It's bad enough all these new Smart TV's have all this menu crap you have to deal with and figure out how to turn off, now the cable services gotta be difficult.

Comcast was supposed to call me back after an hour of trouble shooting over the phone and getting no where. They never called back and my customer is now down 5 Tv's. I find this very poor service from Xfinity Comcast. Anyone else had any issues with Xfinity?
Dan

not surprising they are dead bottom in customer service many years straight in the mags. Personally If my choice was Comcast or antenna....Antanna would win 5 out of 5 times

Nope, directv here, in fact just got an email/survey this morning. directv is raising its rates in this area again.
Wanting to switch to antenna, gotta do some research first.

Hi. Long time (10 plus years DirecTV user) who switched to Comcast a couple years ago. I used AT&T for phone and ridiculously slow internet before then, and cut my total bill in half with Comcast.

I've kept up with the X1 roll-out here in Atlanta, and can share a couple things. First, X1 is very 'buggy'. Anyone I spoke to with Comcast on their biz card admitted this. I've also been told that many existing customers ask to upgrade and the 'official' word is that demand is so high CC cannot get the X1 boxes. Checked last weekend at a CC kiosk in BrandSmart and was told that X1 is not being provided to new customers in many cases, even when it has been 'promised' to them. They get a 'we'll upgrade you soon' excuse.

Based on the above, I've decided to stay with the 'Anyroom DVR' offering from CC I've had for a couple years. It has a very outdated GUI, but, most importantly, it works! It's not 'cool', but gets my TV to me reliably, and at a reasonable price. CC's On Demand service makes a DVR unnecessary for many users - basically if you watch popular shows, you don't need to DVR them. They are probably On Demand.

I don't have much negative to say about their internet or phone service. Only a couple outages in 2 years, and the speed is great. Consistently 55-65 Mbps from speedtest.net, and great phone clarity. We've run 3 Netflix devices at once with great picture quality. Voicemail to email support, etc. is really nice, too.

Can't beat the price in my service area, but customer service is pretty much non-existent. If its a very basic issue they can help, other than that check out the User Forums. But......it's half the price of what I was paying and the net is much better.
