B&K Models

Does anyone know if B&K is going to introduce new models soon? I'm interested in setting up a two channel system. I'm thinking B&K PT5 Pre and a ST125.2 amp to run my RT 10s. I figure those might get clearanced out when the models change out. I have the RT10s just collecting dust right now, so those would be the start of the system, might be replaced later with something a little better but I must say I do like them so maybe not. Not sure if anyone is at CES this year or not or is a dealer and might know when B&K may change there models.

    Howie, that's what I'm running in my two channel rig. You will love the combo. I'm not sure about new models but the PT5 really isn't that old. It also has a sub out jack with a fixed 80 hz crossover and full range or high pass rca outs for your mains (crossover at 80 hz for high pass) in case you want to add a subwoofer to your "two-channel" rig. Nice option to have.

    I actually called B&K the other day and out of curiousity asked them if they were releasing new stuff at the show and the guy I spoke with in Tech Support wasn't aware of anything. He did say that they got a big wave of calls when they dropped their pricing by people who were panic'd that they were closing shop, which he assured they are not. I asked specifically if they were releasing an upgrade of the 507 and he wasn't aware, but I don't know that's entirely true....

    I figured the price drop was to reduce inventory to make way for some new models. Of course if they are going to release stuff at CES they probably won't admit to it until right after CES so those at CES can see them first. If there tech support is like ours, they don't have a clue about new products until they are about to go into production. Then they will get possible solutions to questions they think might come up and so forth.

    As for the Sub out, I noticed that and was thinking SVS....maybe... LOL you just can't stop! I have an M&K 150 sub and would love to compare them.

    B&K has no plans right now for a new line.They don't upgrade that fast dispite what the market has to offer.
