If you look on the back, does the power-port piece (that has the keyhole slot) on your speakers extend past the bumpers on the left and right of it?

Mine are mounted on the wall (anchored on the keyhole slots) and the bumpers are off the walls by about an 1/8 of an inch. Seems like it should be the other way around. Are yours like this? Just wondering.

    Mine are on speaker stands, sorry I can not help, but eye balling it looks to be the same.

    I checked mine and the bass port and bumpers are the same length when measured from the back of the speaker. If the nail/screw is not at a severe enough angle (or is bending due to the weight) then the top of the speaker will be a bit father away from the wall than the bottom.

    Does that make sense?
