I think it's wise choice to give the S/C another shot. With all the new components inside maybe it needs some burn in time. No experience with Parasound but I did have a Carver tfm 45 for a while. The more powerful carver is long gone and not missed but my all original ma5002 is still here making great music.

ms; I'd LOVE to have that MC2500 in your sig. I'm keeping my eye out for one, looking to trade. I can't wait to hear the S/C, Parasound combo. To early for that, though. Will report back later.

I saw your wtb ad on bt for a 2500. Mine has completely ended my search for the perfect amp for my 1.2s. I'm sure there's better amps out there but I cannot ever envision replacing my 130lb blue metered monster.

Well, the MA 5002/Parasound combo sounds good. I think I'm going to have to live with what I have, 'till something truely special comes along(like a Mc2500, or 2).

There's a 2500 for sale by an ak member in NJ right now if you're up for a road trip.

I saw that. He wants money, not gear. Good price, though(I think). I need to sell some stuff, but everyone is acting like they never heard of restore/recaping, or how expensive it is. Most everything I'm selling is just to re-coop parts/labor cost, so I don't know how much more generous I can be, I'm not going to give the stuff away. Sorry about the rant.

Sad fact of this hobby is you almost never recoup the restoration cost when paying someone to do the work. Quite often doing the work yourself doesn't add up either. Sorry but I wouldn't trade my 2500 for everything you have listed either no matter who did the work. His cash price for his restored 2500 is on the lower end of the scale imo; less than I have in mine anyways.
