I finally completed the crossover mods to my 1.2tls this past year and just waiting for the caps to break in. When I bought them 4 years ago the previous owner replaced the tweeters. I bought rings from Larry and installed them, then ordered the caps and resistors and circuit boards from gimpod what a great board he made. Check out the picture of the completed board. I am just starting to notice a difference in the sound from the speakers now, they sound great.

    Your systems really looks impressive!

I wonder how long it will take to get all the components "burned in"

I have the 3.2tl's and have the rings and the stuff to put on the woofers. Still saving up for the new crossovers.
Can't wait to get everything finished.

If you haven't installed any yet, I would highly suggest installing spikes on you 1.2TL's too. It'll improve the imaging and bass response. Also a must do. Congratulations on having installed Larry's rings and finishing the corsoovers. As Larry said, you should do the inductors as well. Talk to Trey (VR3) and he will get you set for the inductors.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Nice work, and very nice setup, very clean. After those Sonicaps "burn-in" completely, you'll love them even more.

I do have them further from the wall

Why? It looks like you had them at 6 inches, which is in the ideal range.

As mentioned, spikes are a must do.

    Enjoy!

They are 9inches away from the wall.

Of course, every room is different, but most find 5 to 6 inches results in the best bass response. A half inch one way or the other makes ALL the difference in the world.
