I'd say it's about to become a loud noise in the night-better get crakin' on something a bit more stout.

Except collapsing under the pressure. Beautiful gear sir, but I do think I would try and lighten the load on that rack.

Seriously dude... we don't need any more PFB moments on our hands. Get a piece of plywood under it and put it on the floor for now... anything is better than the impending disaster I see playing over and over in my head...

It only weighs 88 pounds, so maybe it's not that bad. At least as long as you don't live in earthquake country.

It's less "hi-fi" and more "natural" sounding than a typical solid state amp.

LOL. It wasn't quite that bad. After the shocker of the July electric bill covering both the AC and the amps, the solar is to bring the bill down to zero, or close to it. Now the amps are on 4-5 hours a night, and from Friday morning until I go to bed early Sunday morning. PG&E installed my reverse meter at the end of September, so my October bill will be the first as both a power generator and power user.

Which speakers you are using that require that much power, BlueFox?

Aerial Acoustics 7T. The speakers don't require that much power, but they can, and occasionally, do play loud. Mostly they play classical string quartet music, but after a few beers on Friday and Saturday they will rock. My previous amps were rated 800W/ch at 4 ohm, and I did clip them a couple of times. I felt Pass at 1200W/ch at 4 ohm would probably be more than sufficient, and so far it has been. A side benefit is the first 90W is class A, but I wonder if that means the first 180W at 4 ohm is class A. Whatever, it sounds so good at low level who cares.

I'm sure you are going to be saying the same thing soon. Have fun.

Relax. It's an optical illusion. All Pass amps aren't as heavy as they look.

    Congrats Brian.
