I already have the 37, but I found a stupid good deal on an open box SC65 that is looking too good to pass up. My question is... is this worth the upgrade? I don't use half of what the 37 is capable of right now even, but it does offer 4k pass-through, which may be of some importance as I begin to flesh out my media room. Any advice?

Just my personal opinion, but if 4k is your only reason to upgrade, I'd wait until 4k becomes more prevalent/mainstream to do an upgrade.

IMO, I would wait...unless 4K is in important to you in the next year for so? If not, your SC-37 is a pretty capable unit...let the bug pass.

The SC-65 is a fine receiver but your 37 is a bit better. Why do you really want to upgrade? Forget about 4k for now dude. If thats the only reason I support the others and skip the deal. You might get a very slight if any sound quality improvement with the new D3 amps. They are a bit smoother and refined.
    I don't think I would , now if you where going for a SC-68 , different story.
