What model SDA for small room?

I have a 10'x12' room in the basement. I am planning to turn this into a second 2-ch system.
1) Is this too small a room to adequately enjoy SDA's?
If not...
2) What would be the largest model that would work well in that room?
Thanks,
Paul

Recommended distance apart is 6 to 8 feet, so for SDA's to work properly at 6 feet apart, a 15' wall is needed. That said, many have reported good results in smaller rooms. I would look for either the CRS+ or SDA 2B's.Political Correctness'.........defined

You could also use a pair of 1C's but CRS+ would probably be perfect for that size room.____________________________________________________________

I think the 1c's would be overkill IMHO. I would also lean towards the 2b's at the very most. CRS would be the best fit.The Gear... In a room that size, I would say (and as others have said) the largest size would be 2B's. Anything larger probably won't work out too well, but the only way to know is by trying it out. 2B's are my vote though.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks for all the input. I was guessing maybe the crs just based on the size, but two pair of 2a's have been on my local CL in the past month. The 2A's are basicallly the same size as the 2B's, so sure.
The CRS/CRS+ are the same size footprint as the 2A/2B's. For some reason people seem to think otherwise.Political Correctness'.........defined

I own 2As, and CRS+s. Once they're upgraded/updated fully, including the often overlooked Dimensional Inductors, the CRS+s will give the 2As and 2Bs a run for their money, despite their diminutive size. As F1 noted, their footprint is the same as their larger siblings, but their size and appearance doesn't overpower the room aesthetically speaking.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Get yourself some CRS+'s, convert them to 4.1TL's, and don't look back. While I still had my 2-channel room setup, it was in a 12'x12' room, and they sound amazing. You will definitely want to investigate some acoustic treatments for the room, though. That will tighten things up considerably.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

+1 CRS's size is perfect for small/med room. I myself would love to have some too.I have a small living room, open to dining room & both 2b & 1c's seem to be ok...

I absolutely love my SDA-1A's connected to a vintage Sansui G-9700 200W/ch receiver here in my 12x12 computer room....I think I like them better then my bigger SDA SRS system out in the family room.SDA SRS 1.2

I have SDA 2b Studios in a similar environment, they sound GREAT. I really do not think you'll be disappointed. For their size, they completely fill the room. Sound stage is impressive and spacial imaging is uncanny!

Well, looks like I'll be getting my first ever pair of SDA's!
Don and I worked something out. SDA 2A's sometime in the next couple weeks.
Looking forward to hearing what this is all about. Gotta get that room painted and the treatments finished...so many projects
Side note...I saw in another thread that someone drove this exact same pair with an HK 3490 stereo reciever for awhile. That's all I have for now, so hopefully it'll work at reasonable levels until I come across something better. If not, hopefully, someone will let me know.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -
