New record & hi-fi store on Oak st..so the sign says..awwww 60.00 Oyeah 2216b i carried this back to Me Med about 1 mile because wife had car & i wasnt leaving it there. Right in the heart of congestion & smiled all the way :)Attachment not found.

    I was in Portland myself, today. Nice pick up! GREAT PRICE! I've always been curious about the sound of the lower powered units. Some claim they're even more tube-like?

    Sounds great. Hooked it to the Monitor 5a's & does wonderful job @ 9 - 10:00 on the dial. Ill have to spend more time on it to say more. Wish i knew you were there. I stepped out while she was sleeping. Walked down Congress Ave to Oak area. If i have a chance tomorrow im adventuring around some more & find some goodeats.     Cnh the record hi fi place had a fine selection of turntables/Toshiba receiver/Pioneer receiver & other items. It may be worth stopping there if you happen to be in the area & peek :) if there open tomorrow i can take a look & pm you & even pick it up for you-if your in the market for anything

    I may take you up on that in a PM. We're back up North at this point. Really more of an excursion for my daughter. I need to get her 35 hours of driving time before she can take the driving test, so we combined her driving with some shopping, etc.

    Cnh ive read that before about the lower watt ones sounding that way. One of my first Marantz's was a older 2220- 71-2 Era & it sounded quite well from what i remember

    Nice score Randy! Mike, The owner is a good friend of a coworker of mine. I sold him a Yamaha receiver once, he is a very nice guy
    and his prices are reasonable. Had a good selection of used vinyl as well when he was at the flea market in Westbrook.
