f/x problem

the speaker has a popping, humming sound even with the receiver power off. with the receiver on the speaker pops or has a static sound frequently, anybody else run across this problem?

    Hello glennstlwater,
    Thanks for posting on Polk's forum. Something has to be inducing the popping humming sound into the speakers, as passive devices they can't produce any sound on their own. I'm assuming these are surround channel speakers, correct? If so, is the connecting wire run through your walls? Did you do the wiring yourself or did someone else do it?
