Beat me to it 'fox. I loved his books. Died way to soon. Rest in peace, and thank you for writing books that entertained as much as they made the reader think.

Thanks for your post BlueFox and John, we lost a great one today. RIP Tom Clancy, may your work be enjoyed for many generations to come. Not only was Tom Clancy well known for his books and movies from his books, but also enjoyed in the video game arena. One of my favorite games of all time is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series.

At only 66 years of age! It's way too soon and too young. But we all get a call from the dark one day sooner or later.

One great writer who can keep the reader's interest in the storyline.

May you Rest In Peace, Mr. Clancy!

66 is way too young! Wait, what does that say about "us"?

An interesting fellow who told yarns that made good films. I'm sure he had many more left to give. RIP!

Fantastis author, couldn't wait for his next book to come out. There's a new one due out in December. What an entertainer, way too young. May he Rest In Piece.

Sad news. I loved his books and movies. Has anyone noticed that the news is saying nothing about the cause of death? Rather puzzling.

I didn't even see this in the news. I've read many of his books. I don't think there is anyone else who writes better military/cia related stuff.
