    That Dynaco / Altec combo will kick the snot out of your Wharfedale / Yammie setup.

    Nothing wrong with that though.

    Yeah those Altecs are berry good. Are those 806 compression drivers in the horns by any chance? They must sound great combined with a tube amp. Me rikey.

    Russ - Thanks. I'm sure he meant nothing by it though. Heck, I wish I had got it from a pawn shop. It probably would've been cheaper.

    Gatemplin - Yes, they have the 806 drivers. 811 horns and 416 -8A woofers. Yep, the combo sounds great. Unfortunately the tubes have been moved again. Back to the single drivers.

    Gidrah, I asked because I have the same 806 driver and H811B horn and I likes it. I am going to use it when I get my tube rig someday.

    They are Altec A7-500 Voice of the Theater; 416-8C woofers, 802-8G compression drivers w/tangerine phase plugs and 511B horns.
