PFB. I had a feeling from the first post this was BS. Not a good thing to do with most folks here. Keep it honest sir........

If you really enjoy spinning your tires on dry pavement, just wait until winter where you can spin your tires in that ditch waiting for AAA. And since we're on that note, Mr. Just Got My License, you may want to get AAA.

You either have a d*ck a country mile long or make a lot of money to have a wife put up with that crap!!

Ok I will come clean with you guys, I really have just passed my test for a car legally in the past 3 months. I have always hated driving and my wife has driven me everywhere, no ****. I dont have money . I got a hand me down car and its a real POS and I have worn the the tires down like crazy in the short time I have owned it.

I find myself wheel spinning alot and staring at people at the traffic lights and then just gunning it when the lights hit green, I now like driving after avoiding it for years and want a car that says " Hi, I am a **** bag"

How did my post on the 986 forum get here anyways lmao, man us polkies are everywhere. I am only a member of here, the ML forum and audio shark. I think forums are cool but man everywhere I post I get the smack down for some odd reason.

If its really up for debate I can prove that I have just got my licence so lets not doubt me on that.

OK, but with your commentthat you got a "hand me down POS", perhaps I misunderstood but I thought you were coming clean that you actually had this "hand me down POS" and not a Porche. Or, were you coming clean that you recently got your liscence only? Please forgive me and accept my appologies if my interpretation was incorrect.

Me too!! This can only end in a highly entertaining fashion, no?

Please, please, PFB, do keep us posted on developments here.

I hope you kept the POS hand-me-down vehicle that you got. You're gonna wish you had it with the first flake of snow this fall.

PFB....How old are you? Your spinning the tires a lot comment makes you sound like a complete young idiot. Sorry but it is was it is. AND you are married and your wife drives you everywhere?

Your comments in that thread that was linked are crazy! Those guys, actual owners with experience, telling you ALL the problems that car is likely to have and the high cost of repairs. And your main question is can you change from 17" to 19" wheels? I mean damn....really? That car won't look all that cool with 19" wheel sitting in the garage broke down with you not having the cabbage to fix it!

That is a TERRIBLE first car to have. Sorry but I think you really need to evaluate your like a bit. Wasn't it you that supposedly bought $10k speaker cables or something like that a little while back? I didn't follow that thread after reading your first post in it. Are you just full of BS and like to talk $hit on internet forums or what?
My thoughts exactly! PFB is a loose cannon, that probly makes a decent living, with tons of CC debt, and wife on edge of leaving him!
New amp/amps,speakers,cables,every other week, now a Porsche,1st car after 3 months getting his lc,35 yrs old, married, wife drives around! Loser, from the word GO! Holy chit, and I thought I had problems!

Maybe I missed it but I don't see where PFB said this is his first car.

LOL...."your wifes sister's man ?" Now that there is funny. What makes you think he's even capable of working on a Porsche, let alone for no pay ? Is he a driveway mechanic or does he work somewhere like a dealership or repair shop ? Fixing broken down 10 year old pick-up trucks is different than working on foreign cars.

Maybe...just maybe, a better choice would have been a tow truck.

Also there are many specialized tools involved. This has cluster f*ck written all over it!

Thanks for the kind words bob but a car crashed into my dad round the corner from my house when I was 11 and I said I am never fn driving a car after seeing all that twisted metal that he was in before he went to hospital. As time goes on it gets harder to get behind a wheel but now I have I love it, although knowing me I probably would be posting via a straw in my mouth if I was driving earlie.

I got on Autozone and looked up some parts for a 2012 Porsche Boxster (Black Edition or some such thing). Parts were amazingly non-expensive.

    Brake Power Booster: about $110
    Brake Calipers: about $100.
    etc, etc.

Sure, it's not as cheap as parts for a Ford Escort or Dodge Neon, but ... we're not talking Jaguar prices.

Had a guy at work tell me the AIR FILTER for his wife's Ford Focus cost $400 !!!!! Seems it's a disposable, 1-piece, yadda-yadda.
    But $400 !!!

I wouldn't put any knock off junk from Autozone on any car let alone a Porsche. A proper brake caliper for my '09 GTi is about 3X's that. Ridiculous to even suggest. I bet JC Whitney has them even cheaper.

The speaker cables actually retail over 10k and I never paid that for them but those invisible bs cables sound great. If you know anything about Fargo its all flat big wide open roads and being quick of the lights is alot of fun to me and hardly constitutes for fast and furious drifting.

mrbigbluelight knows his stuff and can see where I am coming from as its just a normal drive everyday car with reasonable prices for parts should it break down.

Bingo.....anyone with a higher end car or truck wouldn't be caught dead ordering parts from some of those knock off places.

PFB, the wheels are coming off the bus bro. Your stories just don't hold water. You are supposedly traumatized by your fathers accident, yet you squeal the tires and peel out. You claim to not have money, someone gave you a POS hand me down car, yet you just spent about 20 grand on audio gear. The way you talk sounds like a 17 year old, yet you claim to be in your 30's, married. You want to buy a car in a climate that dictates it will need to be stored most the year too. Somewhere in all this you managed to talk a woman into marrying you ? Your good bro....but not that good.

My suggestion..... Sell those PFB t-shirts as suggested and save your coin for the newest skateboard that comes out. Maybe get some snow tires for it too while your at it.

Crap man.....any you guys have some butter ? My popcorn is running low.

So you guys finally see the light....finally.......

Seriously PFB, on the other forum you sound like a conceited pr!ck.... and that's not name calling, that's seriously how you sound in response to the voice of reason from all the other Porsche owners. You're financing 11k? With all the audio gear you just got why in the world would you need to finance 11k? I would just pay cash for that. Unless...all that audio gear is financed as well?

No one is jealous of the gear you have dude, it seems you buy all this stuff just to show off on here. In 10 years you'll be that old guy with gray hair, wondering where all his money went.

So, PFB, you still haven't answered...can't seem to find a completed Ebay listing for a black/tan Boxster with 58k miles. Care to link the one you are purchasing, or would that be impossible because this is all a result of pseudologia fantastica?

Oh man. Nice car your boss owns Larry. Have you been behind the wheel?

    Turbo or Turbo S?

PFB reread Brock's comments in this thread. If your going to own a Porsche at least research the company and learn the history.
Hopefully you'll gain an understanding why the badge is revered by so many.
