Hmm. No sign of a 58k mile black/tan boxster on Ebay complete listings. Was this bought through Ebay local classifieds or through Ebay Motors auction?

Something I don't understand here - this is his first car and he has a wife? In the Dakota's, most people drive when they are about 13 years old. Just sayin'...

Put me in the skeptical column.

    so true like this one

" If this is a real thread and not a joke - The only way a porsche makes sense as a first car is if porsches have been in the family for years and a family member is a skilled wrench turner.

Best accessory for an older porsche is a second car so when the Boxster is down and your waiting for parts or saving cash to buy the parts or trying to figure out what is wrong, you have something to get to work in - To Pay for all this FUN!!!"

Maybe I missed it but I don't see where PFB said this is his first car.

LOL...."your wifes sister's man ?" Now that there is funny. What makes you think he's even capable of working on a Porsche, let alone for no pay ? Is he a driveway mechanic or does he work somewhere like a dealership or repair shop ? Fixing broken down 10 year old pick-up trucks is different than working on foreign cars.

Maybe...just maybe, a better choice would have been a tow truck.

Come on man, how can you be married and your just getting your license and first car ? Considering what the guy just spent on audio gear.....I'm calling B.S.

What kind of backwards hillbilly junk is this anyway ? You spend cash on audio gear, a lot of cash, but don't have a car ? Plus your a farmer ? A married one at that ? Either your a young kid of someone who's rich, or you don't have both tractor wheels on the ground.

It gets better, if you read any of his other posts on that forum, he makes reference to the "wheels being as small as his skateboard".

Skateboard dude ?? Seriously ? Did you get your high school sweetheart pregnant, shotgun wedding, living in her parents basement ? Blew the wedding wad on audio gear, now you need a loan for a car ?

Not that I care one way or the other PFB, but really man, come on bro.....jeesh.

Ok I will come clean with you guys, I really have just passed my test for a car legally in the past 3 months. I have always hated driving and my wife has driven me everywhere, no ****. I dont have money . I got a hand me down car and its a real POS and I have worn the the tires down like crazy in the short time I have owned it.

I find myself wheel spinning alot and staring at people at the traffic lights and then just gunning it when the lights hit green, I now like driving after avoiding it for years and want a car that says " Hi, I am a **** bag"

How did my post on the 986 forum get here anyways lmao, man us polkies are everywhere. I am only a member of here, the ML forum and audio shark. I think forums are cool but man everywhere I post I get the smack down for some odd reason.

If its really up for debate I can prove that I have just got my licence so lets not doubt me on that.

    ...want a car that says " Hi, I am a **** bag"

I would be a lot cheaper and safer for you to just get that tattooed on your forehead.

Seriously though, Boxsters are not drag racers. You will kill the car by spinning the wheels at every stoplight. They are precision handling sports cars, somewhat under-powered in the early model years. You will likely get beat by a V6 Toyota Camry in a straight line race. Then you will really look like a ****.

PFB....How old are you? Your spinning the tires a lot comment makes you sound like a complete young idiot. Sorry but it is was it is. AND you are married and your wife drives you everywhere?

Your comments in that thread that was linked are crazy! Those guys, actual owners with experience, telling you ALL the problems that car is likely to have and the high cost of repairs. And your main question is can you change from 17" to 19" wheels? I mean damn....really? That car won't look all that cool with 19" wheel sitting in the garage broke down with you not having the cabbage to fix it!

That is a TERRIBLE first car to have. Sorry but I think you really need to evaluate your like a bit. Wasn't it you that supposedly bought $10k speaker cables or something like that a little while back? I didn't follow that thread after reading your first post in it. Are you just full of BS and like to talk $hit on internet forums or what?

Having grown up in Northern Minnesota, I have been to Fargo many times you ever go to the Moorhead Minnesota side? I can assure you that Boxter is not the vehicle for you, think more like a truck or something with 4wd or Awd. I guess you should know that a good snow would make it hard to find unless you keep it in the pole barn during the winter. I get up that way a couple of times a year Parents live in Park Rapids. We will have to meet up in Fargo I will race ya with my Toyota truck.
