Speaker toast or a fix? (Fell over)

Long story short (the cats fault), the Monitor50 floorstanding speaker fell over onto the wood floor and the topmost driver is making static on heavy bass. The 2nd one is OK, just the top one.

Is it toast? Or could there be something I should check before replacing it?
It fell onto its side, not directly on the speaker -- I checked the speaker itself and there is no physical damage on the cone or whatever...

I believe I remember polk replacement drivers are ~$50? I wanted to check first if there could be an easy fix, or whether its broken internally.

Thanks.

Pull it out and make sure that a wire didn't come lose. Your magnet may have shifted. Best idea is to call Polk CS, they are very helpful and responsive.

Open them up and find out! If you have any questions on components, post the pictures here and we'll help you sort out the damage.

+1 on above. If you lightly press driver in with your fingertips can you feel any scratchiness at all. Careful when doing this also. If there is any scratchiness to the feel, then the magnet may have shifted
