I just purchased and installed a surroundbar 4000, and am getting a hum through the subwoofer. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I have tried all four channels on the bar and subwoofer, and have even moved it across the room to a different outlet, and I still get the hum. Help!

Ground loop or problems with the amp. In the case of the 300's the PS caps and/or the voltage regulator are a great start and a common issue given the age of these amps.

just for ****s and giggles. wiggle the coax going to your cable box. See if the noise changes. I chased the issue for days. The cable was the issue. Went out side found the grounding block. Cleaned the contacts and tightened them down nice and tight. That got rid of most of my hum. a Ground loop isolator took care of the rest
