Replacing the mw-8000 for S10

Ok, I get it. The elusive 7.5" speaker mw-8000 can NOT be bought.
So, I will either get a 8" or a 6-6.5" speaker instead. I'll retrofit to make it work.

My question is this, What specs should I be looking for in a replacement speaker that will also drive that radiator bass?

You could try a MW8500 from the RT3000 speakers, it's an 8" driver, says polk on the cones and I have a couple available. :)

Check them out, and PM me if you're interested.

    I saw a pair of S8's on CL earlier for $60 with a CS150....

I'll see if he will sell the speakers separately, and PM you if I come up with anything.
Guess it depends on what a driver worth to you?

    Aren't the 8500's just woofers?
    The MW8000's are midrange?

Hey, 1 year old thread, but I have an extra S10 speaker that I could salvage the MW8000 and SL5000 from for the right price. PM me...
