I am looking for advise as to what tweeter people would use in RTA 12C's with rebuilt crossovers.
SL 1000
SL 2000
Peerless
or RDO 194's

Have all in stock.

You should be able to jump to RDO-198 with some capacitor value change.
From 12uF to 13.5 uf and 1 ohm resistor from what I searched.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

The newer RDO's are better than peerless? I haven't heard them and I suppose it's objectional.

Bruce, listen to the Peerless for a while, then switch in the 194s. See which you prefer. You need to wait for the caps to burn in completely too, before you make a final decision.

From info gathered here in the board it should be the RD0-194, and then the Peerless. However, I still have my original SL1000's in. I'm usually very sensitive to harshness, etchiness in the highs and with mine I just don't hear it. The Sonicaps/Mills probably have something to do with that.

Hmm. Interesting to here everyones opinions.... and greatly appreciated. Even when I asked the people at Polk I seemed to get conflicting info. Asked what tweeter was originally in them and was told the SL2000. When I bought them there were SL 1000 in them. Polk said SL 1000 and Peerless would not fit. Well, SL1000 came out and currently I have Peerless in them. I will let them play for a couple of weeks and then swap them around to see what I think. In a lot of cases it seems to be a persons individual taste and how they "hear" things.
