LSIM to be redesigned/tweaked?

I was told by two separate salesmen that the lsim and rtia are both getting a redesign soon. What are the odds there is any truth to the lsim part? I can see the rtia as they've been out awhile but the lsims? seems a bit soon...

A tweak or two maybe, and perhaps a color change, but a redesign seems a bit much.

Honestly I don't think either needs anything but more color options.

Wish they had black... black would have been nice.

A black piano gloss or wood grain finish is always a good choice. Since these are the most stylish cabinets they have made to date....I wonder how well a funky contemporary finish will go over? Something like the Sonus Faber Graphite?

My, My, My does Sonus do a great job on their enclosures...works of art.

They really do....the black baffle and the mahogany look really dark (black/brown color) in the pictures guys have posted up. This flash side shot of the meaty 707 is about the most "brown" shot I have seen. http://cdn.avsforum.com/1/1f/500x1000px-LL-1fe92e80_LSiM707-side.jpeg

Still, I love the color....something different than black...but in the dark family.

I bet an all piano gloss black option would sell well. Piano gloss white would be cool too.

From the mahogany LSiM's that I've seen, the underlying tone is more purple than anything else.

As I said in the other LSiM thread, they are essentially black with a hint of color to them. I've been sitting next to a pair of 705's 2 feet away from me all day. The light has to hit them just right to really bring out that warmth.

Oh Ok... one more day i will get to see it first hand

this makes sense. maybe that is the big reason why they didn't exclude the lsim from the recent discount. Retail prices are kinda high. the midlife cycle version hopefully has a better powerport, instead of cheap plastic. Heck, my Lsi7 has a metal powerport in the back. the current "polk audio" logo is old. it makes more sense if it just says "polk", in case in the future Polk makes more than just "audio"
