I just read Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie.

Given Ben's track record, this franchise is probably doomed.

    Halo, I like the idea of Jason Statham. He was real good in the remake of the Mechanic which originally starred Charles Bronson in his role as the master/teacher and Jan Michael Vincent as the pupil.Good choice.Those Transporter movies once you see the 1st one the're all the same......

    I am not a big fan of BA either, (except in Chasing Amy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) but he might do a better job than he did with Daredevil. He's older now and could play a grittier Batman, and hopefully the writing will be a lot better than it was on that movie.

    This is just awful! Worst casting ever! I think Karl Urban would make a great Batman and Bruce Wayne but Affleck is just pathetic. He's not a good enough actor to do Bruce Wayne justice and he's too skinny and awkward looking to pull off Batman. Man this just breaks my heart. WTF are these people thinking. If you listen, you can hear the slap from the double faceplate Christian Bale and Chris Nolan are doing right now.

    Christopher Nolan is the executive producer... so odds are that he had a hand in the Affleck casting. Just sayin'.

    And Karl Urban is Judge Dredd. And they need to do a sequel, because Dredd was awesome. :D

    There is a lot of push back on this in the press. I thought Tom C as Jack Reacher (6'4" 230 lbs by the books) would be a disaster but he did a pretty good job, I'm willing to give Ben a shot
