If they ever come out with a new version of SDA's they should give Larry the honor of creating the new Polk Audio Badge.Home Theater

I always liked this one the best. Simple and clean, without the hearts all over it.

Yep, I like that one, and the vintage one with the heart the best.
The new logo does suck. -
It took you 7 minutes to type "Polk Audio"?

Wisely ignoring their customers thoughts, concerns and ideas....gotcha.
Personally as long as the heart thingy is left out, I like the logo. Very modern and sleek looking imo.--Gary--

Everything changes with time. Here are a few other examples of brands that evolved over the years.

Since 1972 Polk has had 3 marks.
http://www.polkaudio.com/about-polk
The current iteration pays homage to the original with the inclusion of the heart (which people complained about when it was dropped in the second iteration). It is also clean and modern and scales nicely to feel appropriate on every type of audio product from an in ear headphone to a tower in any application, from a pad print to an emboss. For example steveinaz's concept would not scale down to a headphone, or even a metal logo badge on a tower because of the amount of detail and the thinness of the elements. The inclusion of a color as a critical graphical element conflicts when used on a headphone hat is a clashing color or even on a bookshelf or tower if the particular veneer does not link up. Notice the heart is only used in marketing materials and not used.
Here is the new logo on just about every type of product Polk makes:

Couldn't agree more HTguru, the Emblem from the era of the RTi's/certain Monitors/Lsi's etc looked leagues more professional... not like something I'd throw in my niece's bedroom to go with the decor Love the company, love it's products, not it's newer heart logo. To each their own I guess :P and after reading, if it's to pay tribute to the original, it makes a little more sense I guess....LivingRoom

For all of us complaining about the "new" logo(myself included), it would be helpful to be reminded that the logo is very similar to one found on one of Polk's earliest speaker: http://www.soundadviceblog.com/features/inside-polk-audio-a-visit-to-polk-audios-headquarters-in-baltimore-maryland/

Indeed that was one of the inspiration points! Also of note, the logo application on products is not plastic. In most cases it is a diamond cut metal with plated finish, as on the Woodbourne.
On some of the gaming products it is just tonally molded in.
