Polk Audio staff.....

The new logo HAS TO GO. I saw some Polk speakers at bestbuy the other day---I didn't realize the logo on the forum was going to be used on the products as well. That is the most awful logo I think I have ever seen. It looks like a 4th grader came up with the design. Seriously, it is cheesy. Go back to the classic '70's logo PLEASE.
I have an "eye" for this sort of thing, and trust me--this logo look cheapens your product. It looks like a fake "Polk Audio" badge on a white van speaker.

I agree Steve, was disappointed when that logo came out. They may think it looks hip....cool, whatever, but it cheapens the brand. Isn't that exactly the thought Polk has strived to move away from ?HT SYSTEM-

Yup, I agree. Terrible! I bought a pair of CRS+ stands from Larry, look at how great the old logo looks:
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -

When Polk was here last year at the audio show, and I took them some items I made here at the shop, with the last two polk logos, they asked me what I thought about the new logo, and I told them I didn't like it, and that it was a wrong move..

who cares, LSiM's look better naked anyway.

I teach visual communication and have been in the business 30 years.
The logo with the heart dotting the i reminds me of my 2 year old daughter's Hello Kitty swag.
I don't know which one folks are talking about hating vs which one they love, but the heart is horrible.
Zingo's attachment is clean, spare and communicates the brand in as few characters as possible.

I agree. Zingo's attached photo projects class and quality. That's what Polk means to me.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.
Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One. -

I've seen these up close and also think they look a little cheap. I'm not sure that it is the "design" itself or the "materials". Perhaps just taking this design and stamping it out of METAL would help class it up a little. The problem for me is that up close you can tell it's just a cheap "plastic"!

I don't mind the heart on the site. Wouldn't mind the site's logo on the gear. As a matter of fact, if the logo on those $750 705's they're sending me is plastic I'm shipping them back.

The red and white logo used on the RTixxx and LSi series was my favorite. The new logo just screams "cheap" to me. I'll take the heart any day.Display: Sony 42" LCD

no issue with the new look IMO.
-
I don't mind the new logo, but I do felt like the old heart logo had character.
-
I used to think the same thing when Pioneer changed their logo.....well 25yrs later it kind of grew on me....
-
I don't think the new logo is too bad. I do like the original (like on nspindle's stands that Larry made) better however.......
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I don't mind the new logo in the pic Jake posted above. And I kinda like the logo Steve posted. At first I thought Steve meant they put that stupid looking heart in the circle on it. But then again whatever logo they use...don't really matter to me. Hell I have not even graduated to SDA's yet. Much less LSiM's. lol--Gary--
