:( Yeah, but in my humble opinion it's amazing how uninformed so many people truly are. I don't see the harm in righting wrongheadedness. A lot of it comes down to understanding a viewpoint and following your own beliefs to their logical conclusions.

It's amazing what happens once people are honest enough to do that. And personally...that's why I love talking politics because I can backup my beliefs because logic, and fact are on my side more often than not.

So if it pisses people off I could care less. What really matters is that they start thinking. There isn't enough of that going on, and yes...that matters a hell of a lot more then where to put what cable where.

IMHO gidra and Frank have just shown us how we should behave. They both tought me and I thank you both for your time.

Regardless of my thorough disgust with you, the only problem with this statement is that YOUR logic, and what YOU view as facts aren't always accurate, even though I know you'd argue that. I know (from other threads like this) that you like to shove your personal opinions down peoples throat and then **** about anyone having an opinion other than yours, and it's attitudes like that (you're just an example right now, so be calm) which Micah used in telling us to leave Politics outta here.......

To simplify......don't get all whiny and pretend that others thoughts are automatically wrong when their opinions vary from yours. (could have sworn I've said that before)

We are ALL right. When you state your opinion, you make a statement that you have formulated through your OWN interpretation of the information (notice I used the word info instead of facts) presented to you, and that formulation is the sum of all your life experiences, coupled with your own ability to process information. Seeing how we ALL have differing life experience, and ability to process info, nobody is wrong. That's my take on it.

Let's beat each other up over stuff that really matters........ like the fact that none of you have a rig NEARLY as accurate as mine (insert smilie face here). See how easy that was?

Set record for most executions by any Governor in American history.

Shouldn't he get a bonus for this?

Heck, I think we should all be like Utah, and have death by firing squad. Take it one step further though; blindfold the firing squad, so that it may take 4-5 shots to kill the ****.

Presume? No what I have a problem with is when people post crap from other websites thats blatantly untrue then get all bent out of shape when they're shown the errors in their posts.

If you're going to open your mouth you should be prepared to defend your point of view and concede when you're proven wrong time and time again.

So If you want to argue the topic at hand go ahead, but don't try giving me a lesson on how to argue in a political debate.

Politics - Religion, no one ever wins..........
My Dad lost his life savings in the stock market - I lost over half of my 401k stock money in the last two years.

I lost half of my 401k money too. I also gained it all back in the past year and then made more on top of it.

But nobody ever talks about that.

Nothing is lost until you sell your compressed investments. I have taken a beating and thought I was on a track to retire by 45 a few years ago but that is a reality long past. I care not to even think about the REAL cash I have lost. My Dad is retired AT&T, now Lucent, and imagine being in his shoes. Markets swing and unfortunatly we are way into the bad side just starting back the other way(hopefully!). I would not think to blame any political party on what we have endured and are going too.

I will say 1 thing though and this is my Opinion... my cash would be going into gold/silver then burried in coffee cans on state game lands if we as a Nation were not putting a stop to terror incorporated.

Pull your shoulders back, stick your chest out and blame the true enemy!

Trust me, you're version of 'right' is a version that I couldn't even PRETEND to be interested in. I have no desire to argue politics, so I haven't.

The lesson to you isn't how to argue a political debate, it's how to stop being a pretentious dick.....

Again..I think you need to heed to your own advice Brett. Look around the forums and please tell me when I seek you out to attack you. I never do. It's you who can't leave things alone. Don't worry though...I'm sure it'll be taken care of on Monday.

Now please...for the 585842834823540283 time....Stop bugging me. You're doing this forum absolutely no good with your constant harassment of everyone you don't agree with. Take a pill and relax a little. You may learn to enjoy life a little more.

Scott, the fact that you and Demi share a kindred attitude surprises me not one bit that I'd pick at you for the same stuff I'm picking at him. I know you both feel that your elitist attitudes are acceptable, and if you have a problem with me calling you to the table on them, cry elsewhere. I've seen newbies berated by you basically incinuating that they're stupid for asking a question, and Demi's attitude of "I'm Right, You're Wrong" is pure **** as well. Pucker up to each other, and get it on already.......

its amazing how politics can foster so much hatred.
me, i like Bush (in more ways than one) . does he have his faults, hell yes, but the fact that people liking the job he is doing can foster so much negative emotion astounds me.
was i a big clinton fan?, no. did i hate people who liked him? no. did i call them names? no. take a paxil and chill gang :D

Thanks for saving me some time Frank. It is amazing how people think the US changes instantaneously when a president is elected. I’ll add some arguments to the economy attacks:

Any government policy that affects the economy takes years to take affect. What a lot of people do not remember is that while the economy wasn’t down the crapper in 00, it was certainly circling the bowl. Check the stock market the second half of 00… Clinton inherited a great economy from Bush Sr. and rode it into an unsustainable bubble and government overspending, Bush Jr. got to inherit the burst bubble

Also, if he is so bad at man economics, why is the economy turning around? Why did we just have one of the greatest increases in domestic production for a quarter in recent (20+ years) of history?

The best argument of all (in my mind) is who would you rather have deal with 9/11, Bin Laden, and Hussein: Gore or Bush. ‘Nuff said, out of the choices in 99/00, I’m certainly glad he was elected, valid or not, over the other guy.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I find the quiz a wee bit silly. Some of the questions are so broad and in many cases would need situational instances for me to either agree or disagree depending on the situation.
