SDA surround options

So I am moving forward with an HT install in my media room, I have been battling back and forth about what to use for my rear surrounds. For the fronts I am either going with SRS 2.3 or SRS 3.1tl, and I have decided on a single SDA CRS+ for the center channel. I have read many posts on here about what others have tried.. any thoughts form the Vintage forum members? I like the effect that the Bipole/Dipoles give (ex LSi F/X) but obviosuly hard to match from a timbre standpoint. I also was considering Monitor 4.6 Series 2s or Monitor 5 jr+, but again its a more direct sound than I would like for rears in HT.

Any thoughts...I am open to multiple ideas.
Thanks all.

IMO it doesn't matter much as far as timbre match is concerned once you leave the batting box. Way out back in the bullpen I feel that almost anything will work. Same for sides and or heights. I have always felt the front 3 worked as a team and is your soundstage with everything else just part of the orchestra.

Direct sound can be fine if they're placed a foot above your ear height.

I wouldn't use a CRS, a Monitor 7 or 10 with tweeters matching your mains would be a better choice.

I'm from the camp that the believes timber matching is extremely important, especially for voice. Many of my movies contain voice/conversations that moves around the room, and it's very disturbing when the timber changes. My current setup, in my sig, is 2A-TLs, a custom center made with vintage Polk drivers and crossover, surrounds are 4.6s which have been modified, and 5jrs for rears. The surrounds are mounted 6' above the floor to the centerline of the woofer. The sound is quite good, however on certain tracks I can identify the location of the side surrounds. The rears are a mono signal in 7.1, so they don't stand out. I'm very interested in Di-Poles for the sides, and am working out the details for mounting a pair of 5jrs on each sidewall, angled and aimed front and back, with the front firing tweeter's polarity reversed.

Yes I have seen several posts recommending Monitor 7 or 10... My thoughts on SDA CRS+ were to avoid the SDA circuit and parallel the stereo driver. I think when Ray (DarqueKnight) used the CRS+ for centers he did this.

I have tossed around the idea of a custom dipole system with 4.6 or 5jr+ VR3 actually had suggested this as well. Just not into a frankenpolk-type thing.. like to keep things clean.

Technically it wouldn't be a frankenpolk. My plan is to mount them in such a way, that the cabinets would not be altered at all, other than a few screw holes on the back which can be rectified easily if I ever decide to disassemble them. The back plate would mount to the wall, and the speakers would mount to the back plate via heavy duty L brackets. They would be wired together in series, and the small gap between the two, would be covered with a custom U shaped, wrap around strap, made from matching walnut. It would be secured to the back plate. The speaker cabinets and internals would be un-affected.
