Attachment not found.Well i got them in the house this morning. When i picked them up last night i thought they were a tad bit bigger than my 2's. they are about 4-5 inches higher. I will be rotating them in/out & hopefully down the road i can do upgrades to the 2's. but 7's will be 1'st in line. I need to take a break on the wallet. These are just sitting there for the picture ONLY--because our LR isnt big. But we have spare rooms. I plan on trying them out later. I was mostly worried about transit. They did fine. Heres some pics of them. Thanks for comments. I will tell how they sound compare to the 2's on the Adcom. Have a great day-back to work for me

Well done, Randy! I'm really likin' that vintage gear collection you're puttin' together. From what I've seen, all items appear to be in VG-to-exceptional condition too - ie. "keepers".

    Enjoy!

congrats, they look to be in great shape. Let us know what you think of the 1C's compared to the 2B's. The 2B's are one of the few SDA's I have never heard but I imagine they are one of the best for normal size rooms.

Now get moving on the upgrades, you won't regret it.

Congrats. That is a nice collection of speakers. I am also curious to hear your comparison of the SDA 1Cs vs. SDA 2Bs. I have SDA 2B TL speakers and absolutely love them. I have never heard the 1Cs but they get great reviews as well.

Enjoy the new speakers and let us all know how you like them and how they compare to the 2Bs.

I heard about this pick up!

Many consider the 1Cs an SDA sweet spot. You will be "very" happy with those!

Enjoy. I'm probably adding a set of Monitor 7s to the collection below tomorrow?

DAY OFF. I listened to them for 2 hours today. First i listened to 2 songs on the 2b's then hooked to the 1C's. listened to the same 2 songs. Sounded very nice. It was hard to tell at first. Both great speakers for sure. Without hearing the upgrade on 2b's id have to say the 1C's were a tad ahead of the 2b's. the bass was great for me. The mids were perfect. I think the tweets can be upgraded ? Which would be a plus. But overall i am loving these guys. I listened to Metallica ORION - no lyrics. Then the rest of the cd the vocals were perfect. Then i slapped the N Young i had laying there & i was in heaven.i used my iphone Db meter @ 90-94db' with sudden burst up to 100db's & it sounded fantastic

I have a hunch those 1Cs will grow and grow on you.

Put RDO194s in them, have Trey at VR3 Mods mod the crossovers for you (or do it yourself), put in a set of Larry's rings, Dynamat the drivers and PR baskets, stick a little Black Hole 5 behind the drivers and tweeters, and build yourself a Dreadnought SDA interface, and you will be in heaven!

And, remember to put JB Weld around the driver magnets to ensure they don't slip on you!

After I completed all this modification of my 1Cs, these already very good speakers became spectacular.

Congratulations on your great find, and welcome to the rabbit warren!
