Would this work?

RTA-12Bs in front and Monitor 4's in rear, would a 25C work as a center channel, or should I wait to find another pair of Monitor 4's to use one as a center, or last option don't bother with a center and keep the center channel information going to the RTA's?

I have extra monitor 4 or 4.2 something similar size/look.
You should have mentioned you are looking for a center when you came over.

I use a CS10 with my RTA12C's as front L-R mains and it works fine in my smallish room.

Can anyone comment on Monitor 4 vs CS400i as a center?

I just finished listening to the awesome 5.1 version of Dark Side of the Moon. I'm also heavily debating wether my RTA's are doing a better job in 'phantom' mode (sending center information to front L/R speakers) than either of these would do.

If you listen to a lot of multi channel music, then I'd say keep the center. Me personally....ditched the center years ago and run phantom.....haven't missed it at all.
