Proper burn-in of new crossover components?

Hello all,

I'm at the 75% point on the restoration of my Polk Monitor 7Bs. When they're back together I'll post a full story of my work.

Here's a short rundown of what's on so far:

1. rebuilt crossovers with Dayton 1% caps, Mills resistors. left the inductors alone.
2. Replaced old posts with new gold-plated 5-way binding posts from PE
3. Added acoustic foam to back and side walls of inside cab.
4. Affixed acoustic deadening materials to MWs and PRs
5. JB Weld woofers
6. Larry's Rings for PRs, MW, and Peerless Tweeter
7. Pulled old Vinyl off, put on new real cherry veneer. Stained veneer

I have to seal the veneer (going to do a satin poly wipe-on) and reassemble. At some point I'd also like to put new grille cloth on the grilles. I have two pairs of grilles so I was thinking of going a little out of the ordinary with one pair and try white or brown cloth. we'll see.

My question is how should I burn in the crossovers? I've read that the caps need some time to come into their own. On other recaps I've done I have immediately noticed a positive difference in the sound of the speakers but to be honest I have so many pairs and so little time to listen that I doubt I've burned in any fully yet.

I got my Pioneer SX-1250 back after a recap and it had been burned in for 4 days, and sounds great.

For speakers, what should I be doing to get these burned in? Can I just leave the radio on playing through them for a few days?

Thanks!
