A rather eventful month...

We're having record monsoon rainfall this year, and a few weeks ago (evening of 9 July) we had a hell of a storm featuring a "micro-burst" that produced 82mph winds, and driving rain that looked like a hurricane on land. To put this in perspective, our ANNUAL rainfall is typically 12 inches; we got almost 7 inches of rain in 3hrs on 9 July, starting at about 5:15pm. It destroyed the roof of the RV garage/shop, comsequently allowing water to fall on the Casita inside the shop.
We have a claim in with Allstate, the quote from the general contractor was for $18,400; so now we're waiting on Allstate for a green light to get this pup fixed.
Here's a video I made a few days ago to start documenting the continuing damage being done by Allstates "feet dragging." They're sending a 3rd assessor out today:

Sorry to hear that, but stay on the insurance and don't settle for less than you need.

That was a hell of a rain storm in such a short time.I hope they get you fixed up soon.

Thanks. Initially when we had the roofer come out, we thought the damage was minor. When he got up on the roof, he said "you have to see this, because you won't believe me." He was right; the roofing material had been peeled back like sardine can lid, and ripped out all the stucco surrounding the roofs edges. It can't be seen from the ground due to the parapet walls, but there's some serious damage to the roof. Luckily, the shealthing remained in place, how, I don't know.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Sorry to hear of your troubles, sounds like my luck, buy a gorgeous place in arizona, it gets FLOOD AND RAIN DAMAGE.
Stay on em and good luck, weeks is ridiculous time frame to at least do roof work and stop further damage.humpty dumpty was pushed -
Stuff like that always sucks. I used to do a lot of water damage with my company and there is just no easy way to go about it.
Need to get those doors open and let the place dry out. At least get an air mover or dehu to alleviate any possible "growth" or as we would call it, AMG. Nobody wants to hear the m*ld word anymore.
On a side note, that garage of yours is absolutely massive!!
Good luck on your claim!Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
After 3 years of extreme drought, we've gotten so much ran that we eclipse Seattle twofold.Main Surround -
