I'd let Mantis chime in on this one or shoot him a pm. Personally Klipsch Rf's are one of my favorite HT speakers ever and that's the exact setup i'd ideally have in mine. Are you using them for any music at all or just HT? Can you Demo the Def Techs first? What are you driving them with? They're also a fantastic HT speaker but i've always been a Klipsch fan too.

Owned both Klipsch and Definitive speakers and for HT the Klipsch are very hard to beat. The RF 7II's are very nice and I'd take them over the 3000's

Both are very nice for theater, but horns are great for movies. The subwoofer recommendation was very good, and you may benefit more from upgrading electronics than speakers. What receiver are you using?

Your current setup is amazing for HT , what about it do you don't like? I can't find anything wrong with them. For music they are also very Impressive maybe just as good for music as theater IMO.
The older BP series you are looking at are scary for HT but not so much for music. I find the Klipsch system you own better for Music. Theater it's going to be pretty close. The Built In subs in the 3000's are scary and so is the rest of the system. I don't think however you would be upgrading , just changing it up.
Honestly as good as Definitive Technology speakers are , they have a hard time beating Klipsch Reference series IMO. Some may like the Def Tech's better as they could be considerd a more balanced speaker. The New BP8080ST system would be a better choice IF you are looking for a more musical system but not give up much in HT.

I think we should look over your room , amps , wire etc and see where we can benefit your system more then changing out the speakers. I own a full Mythos ST system with 10 center and surrounds. I would be highly interested in your Klipsch system. I actually considered upgrading to your exact system.

I don't like horn sound as much but I haven't heard too many Klipsch speakers.
The Klipsch I had were not that high end and sold quickly.
I still have Tangent 30's but prefer Deftech BP10 a whole lot more.
What I mean is if you like horn sound from Klipsch, it's hard to beat them.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

How do you guys think these Klipschs compare to the LSiMs?

    Anybody?

I'm getting more and more interested in Klipsch for HT. I love the LSiMs for music, but I'm looking for a little more "excitement" for HT.

How do the RF-82ii's compare to the RF7ii's?

How do the center channel speakers sound? (RC 62 in particular)

The LSiM center channel speakers are really awesome... they may be hard to top. The LSiMs also look better.

I've owned both Klipsch & LSiM's and for HT the Klipsch does everything better, it's worth having a listen.

Cool. Too bad they look so damn boring... the LSiMs are drop dead sexy.
