Thinking of buying PSW10 subwoofer to boost my knackered old stereo a bit. My Cambridge Audio amplifier has no sub-output so I would have to use the speaker level in and outs. The amp has five way binding posts and I use loudspeaker cable which is 2.5mm2 diameter. Will the spring loaded terminals on the PSW10 take loudspeaker cable like this?

sorry I know nothing about this stuff, just don't want to spend money on something that i can't use.

PS sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.

    Hello Crushinator,
Welcome to Polk's forum. I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with the type of speaker cable you're referring to. The speaker level connections, on the PSW10, will work fine with #18 or #16 gauge speaker wire, or with any of the "pin" type connectors that can be found on many speaker connections. My belief is that you shouldn't have a problem, but since I've not worked with your specific connector I can't be more definite.
    Regards, Ken

Yes, you can utilize the speaker terminals built-in the PSW10 to connect 2 speakers to the subwoofer and then utilize the output speaker terminals to connect the subwoofer to your receiver. The PSW10 manual provides you with more details on how to configure the subwoofer. You can find the manual on the PSW10 webpage. http://www.polkaudio.com/products/psw10
