Soundbar 4000 Subwoofer continous popping sound when Linked

Hi all,
I just installed my Soundbar 4000 and it worked alright for about a week. However a couple of days ago the subwoofer suddenly began to pop continuously about twice a second. Now every time I turn the sub on the popping starts immediately and it won't stop. I've tried resetting the soundbar, and trying to link different channels but that didn't help.
I noticed that this only happens when the subwoofer makes a link with the bar. If I change the channel on the sub but not on the bar, the sub pops for a couple of second and then it stops and the green light starts flashing slowly as in looking for a signal from the bar. This behavior occurs with all the sources and channels. Sounds plays normally on the bar. The subwoofer Link light never turns orange so the subwoofer is making a connection with the bar.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Hi Kim,
Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I tried all the channels and the issue persists.
