    Yeah these at15 cv's are 400w. I talked to the guy in south bend I'm gonna try to get over there tomm eve if not I'm gonna try to get ahold of the guy with the polks by Chicago. If I do that ill pass the guy with the 10s so maybe swing in and take a listen. Thanks again for all the help so far

    All the db specs..... I'm kind of like OldmanSRS; comparing CV's and Polks are like comparing apples and tomatoes. Still the db's; i initially had a hard time going to true SQ speakers as I was used to high spl from car audio (again the db's) luckily my speakers as a teenager were a pair of Advent 4's and a pair of Pioneer HPM 700's. I liked them both but differently. As I got back into 2ch home listening as a 40 something I satrted with as close to my teenage system as i could and searched for Advents because my older ears didn't really enjoy the pioneers i found. I then moved to DCMs and slowly determined that i was preferreinfg speakers with 6.5 to 8 inch drivers in a 2 way set up much better than most others. When purchasing a pair of DCM TF1000's i was introduced to the sellers pair of SDA SRS. I was hooked and have since become a true vintage Polk fan.

    My point to all this is determine what you are wanting your system to sound like. You may need to go through a few sets of speakers to do this but only you can decide that and you may or may not have the tools currently to make that decision. keep rocking and keep listening. Enjoy the music.

    man i don't really miss those SPL days. I remember thinking I was bad **** when my system hit 136db. it wasn't just a few years later we were doing 170db plus regularly and easily, though we were definitely NOT sitting in the car then. hair tricks and sonic insecticide were pretty funny.
    If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

    I have four sets of m10's and love them. 200 seems a little high, i've paid as little as 10.00 for a good cosmetic pair that needed a couple of frozen drivers replaced to 100.00 for a mint pair of oak finish with stands. Keep looking around.
