He was 96 and lived pretty much a full life to the end. Hate to see him go, and a little blue today.

96 years old... I hope to be so fortunate as to live that long and do so in good health. Was he a WWII vet by any chance?

At 96, your grandpa saw a LOT of stuff: born during WWI, saw WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the rest. Saw burlesque, saw "newfangled" stuff come along like radio, B & W TV, COLOR TV , mono/stereo/quad/tubes/ss/vinyl/CD/DVD/MP3 (wasn't all good), horses/cars/planes/Spaceships!, and the transition from having to rent your landline black telephone from AT&T to what we have now.
Lots of other stuff, too. I'm sure you miss him, Steve, but just remember that he had one hell of a ride.Sal Palooza -

Sorry to hear of your loss Steve.
Was he in the WWII hmmm.... Not a 100% on that but I don't so because he had 2 young girls at that time and his wife (my Grand Mother) was sick long time.

Steve,
I will never forget my grandfather! He lived with my parents when I was a kid, and was my best friend. I named my first born after him to honor his name. It sounds like you were close with your grandfather, too. Remember his stories and celebrate his life! I am sorry for your loss!
