Was someone looking for a pair of these recently?

I believe someone was trying to get a pair of these but was on the fence about it, he was looking for people to talk him into buying a pair, or talking him out of buying a pair. I believe these are the older sought after ones, perhaps westmass will chime in. I emailed the seller to find out what version they are. I'am not interested in them, I need another pair of speakers like a hole in the head, unless they are SDA's then I would make some room

The seller e-mailed me back and said they are series 1 with the cloth surrounds which are maintenance free compared to the foam surrounds. Not sure if this series is the desired series but one of the members here was looking for a pair. I won't bash these nor will I praise them. I could not find the original post or I would of posted in that thread.

Properly setup, given plenty of clean power, and a rebuilt EQ with high grade caps and a few other improvements, they sound amazing. Not for everyones taste to be sure. But hardly crap, as some would have you believe.

I had three different series of Bose 901's and just could not get into them. If I was going to try Bose again, I would go for the 10.1 series two speakers. I never heard them but I saw some favorable reviews on them. Anyone here get to lesson to them.
