Whats up all?
I have been drinking craft beer for years now and really love it. I'm honestly more a fall winter spring kinda guy and in the summer always feel like I'm spinning my wheels looking for good summer brews.
Margarita's have always been a favorite of mine in a mixed drink man style. Lime and salt. But recently I had a Waborita and I was blown away. Only downside of making them at home is the cost of the ingredients. Just the Cabo Wabo Tequila is 36 bucks a bottle not to mention you still need fresh lime juice , limes ,Cointreau and Grand Marnier. You basically can spend around $100 bucks but in all fairness , you can make a lot of Waborita's out of it. So maybe not so bad.

What do you guys use? I even tried the premade stuff in Skinny girl and it was very good. I got the salt and lime to go with it and even picked up the glasses. very fun and very summer.
Dan

Milagro tequilla is one of my favorites. I use the juicer and do fresh limes, one orange and sometimes a lemon or grapefruit if it's laying around. I like to add a little Grand Marnier and agave nectar as well, it adds a good flavor. If I don't feel like making the mix i'll use pre made stuff and add tripple sec. Uncle Dicks makes a good pre made mix, it's one of my favorites.

Grand Gala tastes exactly the same as Grand Marnier for about half the price! I use Rose's sweet lime juice because it is simple and faster than juicing my own limes and making simple syrup. Cabo is good, but I use whatever is on sale because after the first couple glasses it doesn't matter anyway! ; )

Frozen Blue Margarita's are my favorite. It pretty much a margarita with a little Blue Curacao. I prefer sugar on the rim vs salt.

Well....you go to the liquor store and choose your favorite Tequila. Then head to the check out counter bypassing any and all margarita mixers!

Agreed!! About 12 to 20 double shots then the mix doesn't matter too much.

i like margarita's and i like them made from scratch.. rarely do I like one made with the mix...
but I use a high quality tequila, orange liquor, half squeezed lime, half squeezed lemon and salt rim. tasty.

NEVER....I REPEAT NEVER mix a fine tequila with anything but a slice of lemon and a bit of salt...savor the flavor...To do otherwise constitutes a MORTAL SIN!!!

All of the mixes suck in my opinion.
    I like this:
    2 parts Sauza Blue
    1 part Triple-Sec
1 part fresh squeezed lime juice.
Shake well with ice, pour in salt rimmed glass.
Enjoy. If you can do two of these, you will be feeling pretty good :)
