Peerless for Monitor 7's

Hey people, I have a pair of monitor 7 and 10's. I want to do xo update to both, not a problem. Now I have sl2000 in
each pair, I have recently scored a pair of Peerless tweeters, I want to put these in the 7's I have read about the
cabinet mod but can't find info on the xo difference. What caps do I need to run these tweets? Am I wasting my time? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't done it but I know few who have swapped SL2000 with peerless without any change in crossover and they said it sounds fine.
Crossover looks pretty much same.
Wait for gurus to chime in.

forget that just get the RDO194's and be done much better tweeter. Peerless made great tweeters but the difference in screw holes is just enough to look like poo. The peerless is about 1/16 smaller and I do not know of anybody that has shrunk the SL2000 hole.

go with the proper upgrades. won't be hard to sell the peerless to recoup the money. the peerless are good but aren't designed to be a replacement for SL2000; the RD0-194 tweeters are.

Interesting everything I've been reading says the peerless are larger. If I where to sell the Peerless, what are they worth?

Well that sounds like an auction item. However I was hoping to use these. But hey, easy come easy go. Now onto my xo upgrades. Thanks for the info people.

The Peerless were great tweeters in their day, but that was 30+ years ago. The RDO-194-1s are drop-in replacements and in my opinion, are better than the Peerless. Your 7s can also be modified to accept the RDO-198-1 which is even better than the RDO-194-1.
