Staying at the MGM.

No idea what a 3 plater is. But the buffet at The Rio is great if your into Prime Rib, Lobster, Crablegs and the rest of the usual fare. I just load up on the Lobster & Prime Rib.

    3 plater=buffet.

Haven't been since 97 and looking very forward to it. Might try to find the one that Clark & Eddie went to. Rio was great last time I ate there,MGM breakfast was to die for but that could have changed. People watching will be great!

I think anyone who has never been there should go once just to look at people, you see all kinds out there. I'm not a gambler but love to see all there is to do. It seems that from all of the reviews I've read that most buffets have gone down in quality, I'll have to wait and see. Watching Vegas Vacation the other night gave me the itch to go. Maybe Wayne Newton will hit on the old lady!

That one was good, Also try Caesars Palace. I stayed there a week when I had my annual franchisee convention when I owned my stores. Try not to spend any audio gear money at the tables! Food is ok though!

Not sure what a 3 plater is, but I was there 3 weeks ago and had a tremendous dinner at the Paris Hotel at Mon Ami Gabi. It was a nice atmosphere, great service and a very tasty meal.

All good suggestions above. I also like the buffet at the Wynn, and the buffet at Aria. Both are a little pricey however, and would probably require a cab from MGM. Mon Ami Gabi and and Mesa Grill are a couple of my favorites, and I also like Carnevino at Palazzo. "Love" is a fantastic show as well. Craftsteak and Emeril's in the MGM are both delicious non-buffet choices too.

Love the heat anyway! Better than the high humidity heat here in the midwest.
