csi5 causing dvd interference??

I just got a csi5 for Christmas and noticed on my first viewing of "Matrix" the screen started getting lines and interference in it. When the interference started getting bad I was playing at -20 volume level on my pioneer vsx-d912k. I have never had a problem before and am wondering is the csi5 causing this. I have a 12 year old Sony 32" CRT. I wouldn't think that the speaker is causing it because they are magnetically shielded. Could it be the fact that it produces more bass and has a bigger frequency range?!? I'm really at a loss hear!
