I like a nice soup/stew that's been simmering all day in the Crock Pot.

    Can of:
    corn
    green beans
    sliced or diced potatoes
    carrots
    diced stewed tomatoes
    (2) tomato sauce

salt/pepper (or other spices) to taste

1lb ground meat (cooked) or stew meat

May not be the best soup, but it doesn't get any easier than cooking some meat and emptying a few cans.

Slow cooked ribs. So good. Quite simple:

I buy the ribs and cut/separate them myself.
Place in cooker, covered in water only for 3 hours on low.
Remove water and put ribs back in with your favorite BBQ sauce (Sweet baby ray's), and one chopped onion for another 3-4 hours on low.

    That's it.

    Yummy...

    Incredibly easy, Incredibly good.

    I whole roaster chicken
4 tablespoons of old bay spice

    Put chicken in crock pot
    Sprinkle old bay on top.

    Cook on low for 7-8hrs
Do not add water or anything.
Chicken will be done, fall of the bones etc.
The juice is awesome to make gravy. Goes very well with mashed potatoes. ENJOY!!

Pork butt (whatever rub and smoking wood you prefer) on the smoker for 4.5 hours then into the crockpot for 4 hours with a cup of apple cider.
Guaranteed to be the BEST pulled pork you have ever had.

Also need to throw in any type of chicken with south-of-the-boarder seasoning, then use for tacos.

So true. The Pangea I added to mine just seems to make the flavors blend together more naturally. And my chili has that extra little kick that I've been missing:lol:

I'm going try this for lunch tomorrow, sounds too yummy. I think I can sit around for 6-8 hours listening to music and drinking some cold ones while waiting for the food to slow cook! I don't have a problem with that! .

Ok, everything is in the cp! Already had a few cold ones and have a couple of more hours to go before it's done cooking. Worked out perfect because it'll give some more time for the beers and my wife is out with my son! Music and movies were/on pretty loud just the way I like it! No one home to complain about it.

What is the make of your slow cooker? I had a KitchenAid slow cooker's ceramic inset crack during use and made a mess. I am in the market for another one in the 6 or 7 quart capacity.

Mine just says CrockPot on th front and it is made locally in Boca Raton, FL.
I also know there is a Cuisinart office in Boca as well, I think it's on Glades Rd, for you locals!

Man, that chicken just fell apart and was tender due to the long slow "braising" method of cooking. I'm still full and the buzz from the beers wore off:(
Tomorrow is a new day, time for that roast recipe!

Left the smoker going when I left for work this morning with a 5 lb brisket in it. My wife will be tossing it into the crockpot around noon and we are planning on eating around 7pm tonight. 12 hours of slow cooking should be plenty...

Rotel is a canned tomato brand. They do regular diced and whole tomatos but they also do versions with chiles and other spices.
find them in your grocer's canned vegetable section.

I married a girl from Oklahoma some years ago and drug (well, I didn't really use drugs) her to Canada. She used to curse our grocery stores and their weird selections. I asked her what she missed most, and she said "Rotel tomatos, I can't get any damn Rotel tomatos here." And I countered with "I thought Rotel made amps." Then she looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. A look I was to see many times over our years together.
