The first thing to do is the "obvious". Switch out the two M-30s, assuming that one works and the other has the problem. If the problem follows the speaker. Then the speaker needs some attention. If the offending speaker sounds fine on the other channel, then it is the Denon that is in question.

Once that is known, other suggestions can be offered.

Check your speaker connections too. If using bare wire ends, make sure no strands of wire are touching another post on either the receiver end or speaker end. Where is the mic set up at ?

What tony said, That is the most common problem when using bare wires... Banana plugs ftw

With Monoprice around even the poorest of us can now afford banana plugs.

In my experience Denons are not as picky about perfectly screwed down connections as Yamahas and NADs are. Yammies and NADs short out if you haven't taken a WRENCH to there speaker terminals.

It is possible that a bare wire touching another may be a factor here. But it's also possible that that is not the problem. So check "everything" above and tell us what you found!
