LSiC issue

Just looking for some thoughts on how to isolate this issue...
Recently i noticed the sound from my center is less clear and quiter. I noticed during passages that are heavier in lower frequencies i hear a crackling from the right mid/bass driver on the center. I am using and avr to power the speaker, but the sound from the other drivers sound clear and normal. A year ago i DID upgrade the crossover...
I intend to pull the drivers out soon and do some tests, but i am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to isolate the problem and what to look for on the crossover if that is where the issue is...
Thanks in advance.

Well, after pulling the suspect driver i found the problem the copper wire running from the negative terminal to the voice coil has come loose from the coil. As it is a pretty tight space to solder i guess i am in the market for a replacement driver. The wires counter part has alot more glue adhering it in place while the faulty one had very little and was adhered to the coild rather than the groove formed by the cone and coil coming together. Anywho, at least its not the amp

I recently bought a LSiC from a Club Polk member and noticed the same issue. I opened and looked inside but nothing looked damaged. What I did was call Polk CS and they sent me a complete LSiC replacment. Drivers, tweeter and crossover. If you let them know you are a club polk member you get a discount. If I'm not mistaken the drivers are $40 a piece the tweeter is $60 and the xo was $80 that's with the discount. Free shippingF:L/R LSi 15
