I've known about Ben's long term health problems almost since the day we first met. We used to talk on the phone quite a bit when he was here in Georgia. I always new someday his health would really turn for the worse and I'm sorry to hear about it. Even though it sometimes seemed like his life was a train-wreck, he was always a very generous person who was willing to help others. He did his best in my opinion. I'll be praying for you and your family bro! Hope you find peace. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Ben, prayers to you, your family and your girls. Try to stay positive and hang in there, miracles happen all the time.

Good thoughts Bill. I wish Ben and his family the best as well. Prayers sent to him and his family. Ben was the first person I talked to on the phone from the forum. He was helping me with my Aragon amp. I know there were some bad things that happened between a number of folks and Ben, but I pray it's been put behind all involved. May God bless you Ben. Take care.

That said, it's pretty ridiculous for you to pop in here every 6 months or so and give this picture of gloom and doom, have people get all gushy over you and then not expect anyone to call you out on your past behavior. I have been here for years and this is a cycle that probably happens twice a year with you. Same thing happened with Joe and a couple other members. It's pretty self serving and transparent in my opinion. You post a thread about getting in touch with someone when you could have easily contacted them outside the forum and then turn the thread into a farewell talking about your daughters and how you want your precious gear to go to people who appreciate them. Well, some may not know the times you have taken advantage of the people here, so it all rings hollow. I apologize for being blunt and sounding cynical and mean, but it is really exhausting and not fair to the forum. All you have to do is right click on the member name and push "Send an Email". That way you are not polluting the forum with your needless threads and portraying a righteous attitude bestowing gifts that most likely will never come to fruition. Your word here has been stained.
And this one from another time he was suppose to be sick/dying, but was actually surfing. From 8/15/11
I know Ben's got a lot going on and for that, I empathize...however, he wasn't too sick to take people's gear and money....or go to the beach for that matter.

Nothing cold and callous about calling it like it is Jesse. If Ben is acually not in the hospital, sick, etc. then shame on him for the numerous times he has tried to dupe the forum/members. If he is sick though, then I feel for him and his family. I am the type to take people for their word. I don't know anything as fact about anyone until I experience it for myself. I don't know everything that went on with Ben in the past, but I will say that if Ben is duping the forum and it's members, he should be banned just as Joe was. I took Joe at his word, and he turned out to be not tustworthy. I am hoping Ben is not following the same pattern here........ I will let others who have first hand proof make that decision, however.

Oh no...That's terrible news. I thought he had a slight recovery from the last time he posted. I guess he was just trying to bow out without too much drama.
Regardless of what you may have thought of Ben, it is a life cut short (he was in his early 40s) and his daughters are left without a father. I never had a problem with Ben. RIP bro.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
