Static randomly from Soundbar 3000

We've had the 3000 serious soundbar for a couple of weeks now and everything has been fine. Last week I started to notice static/crackling coming from the main soundbar and one time the wireless sub made a constant rapid thumping noise. I'm more concerned with the static/crackling. It seems to happen mostly at night after the unit has been used for many hours. What is going on? I'm getting ready to return the item because it is extremely annoying.
On a side note, if I change channels it will go away and when I come back to the channel I was on it will be okay, but then will start up again after a varied amount of time. I don't have the time to diagnose if it happens if I leave it on the other channel because I want to watch my programming. And no, just to preempt it, it is not just one channel on my satellite. This also occurs when watching DVD's/Blu-rays etc.
I'm at my wits end.
