Just curious, MW6500 vs MW6503

My old Monitor 7s have frozen drivers and they are the 6500s. Polk has 6503s as a replacement. Why the number change I wonder. Are they exact equivalents?

    I just noticed some old threads regarding this very question. It seems that the 6500s were discontinued and the 6503 is the replacement. There were comments about the differences albeit slight. I would possibly be looking for some 6500s that are for sale if anybody has some. for originality and to save some $$.

    Check eBay, the 6500's come up from time to time.

    Where do you get all these specs?! Are they posted on Polk's website somewhere? I'm still amazed that Polk has re-designed/manufactured components for products that were discontinued decades ago (and proud to own).
