Focal 807V Crossover Mods

I opened up the Focals today just to get a peek inside at what's in the crossover. It's pretty simple, but I'm having some trouble identifying values for some of the components. I've also been trying to sketch out a circuit diagram for it, but there are no clear paths on either side of the PCB  I have to go through and find continuity between each component.
Here's a picture for reference:
The components which are clearly marked are the two resistors (7W/0.9Ohm and 10W/0.3Ohm) and the three capacitors (12uF/63V bipolar, 2.7J/100V, 5.6J/100V). I'm not certain on the values of the inductors, because they aren't marked.
My questions at this stage are:
What do 2.7J and 5.6J mean as marking on capacitors? Is that meant to be 2.7uF and 5.6uF?
How do I go about figuring out values for inductors? Or, if I'm planning on replacing things, should I just leave them stock?
Thanks!

Yes.
Those look like decent inductors, I'd leave them alone.Political Correctness'.........defined

Would be fairly easy to replace the caps and the resistors could be swapped out for mills resistors fairly easy as well. The rest I would leave as is.Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.

That's what I was looking into. Mills MRA12 resistors would work, but they don't have a 0.3 or a 0.9 Ohm resistor available through Parts Connexion. The approximate values might work must as well.
The other problem with sourcing replacement parts is that most of the usual crossover upgrades (Clarity Caps, etc.) are 400V+ and are very very large compared to the stock caps. The one cap they used is also a radial bipolar (12uF/63V) and might be hard to fit a film cap in its place. -
Try http://www.soniccraft.com/
They have a .33 and a .91 Mills 12 watt. Sonicaps are 200V, so much smaller and a more musical tone, IMO.
You'll still need to get creative to mount whatever caps you use. I'd put the resistors on the bottom to gain more room on the top.Political Correctness'.........defined

Sonicap more musical than Clarity? C'mon... :-P - You are the first to say that- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Hey man, if the cap fits.
Thanks for the help, F1nut. Sonic Craft was probably gonna be my next stop. -
ESA 250V will fit all day and it is a better cap.
Just saying- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

Just saying
You're correct, they are right around the same size.
Alright, shopping list:
2x Clarity Cap ESA 2.7uF/250V
2x Clarity Cap ESA 5.6uF/250V
2x Mills MRA12 0.33Ohm
2x Mills MRA12 0.91Ohm
I have yet to decide on what to do with the 12uF/63V capacitor. I've been looking at the Elna, Nichicon, Mundorf, etc. bipolar caps to fit in its place. I'd like to avoid doing so, but two 22uF caps in series would also be approximately correct (closer to 11uF).
Total cost so far: ~$75. Not so bad. -

BTW, Sonicap may hit you with a $5.00 handling fee if your total is less than $25.00Home Theater/2 Channel:

I'm not sure if the 12uF is in the low-pass, but it would seem to be based on its placement on the board.
Clarity Cap ESA has a 12uF / 250V offering, but PartsConnexion doesn't keep them in stock. Eight weeks lead time. Clarity cap SA didn't have a 12uF, so it would require multiple caps. PcX doesn't stock Clarity Cap PX, so they'd have to be ordered from Madisound.
Thanks! -

They do have all of the capacitors, priced slightly lower than PartsConnexion, but they don't have the resistors. -

Sonic Craft, one stop shopping and a more musical sound. Ya can't lose. :cool:Political Correctness'.........defined

Yup and I'll drink to that too :eek: -
Sonic Craft has always been good to me - better than Parts Connexion by a long shot. I've never given Madisound a shot, but I'd like to either stay with all Clarity Caps or all Sonicaps on the board; even though I can't see them, I'm a fool for aesthetics.
