    +1 Carl.

After working in both Nissan and Toyota service facilities, I'd say the Toyota would be my choice without question. Don't care for the CVT transmissions in the Nissans at all.

It's also been my experience that Toyotas hold their resale value very well.
+100 Having spoken with a number of mechanics over the last 15 years, who work on a wide variety of Hondas,Acuras, Toyotas,Lexus', Nissans,Infinitis, Subarus, Hyundais, Fords,GMs, etc. , almost all of them say Toyotas are still the most reliable and best value of the bunch, they are the "Diesel" of the Japanese cars. As for the Avalon, like a step up from a Camry.Very well made vehicle, most people who buy them are not the type to abuse or hot rod them. also not the kind of car someone's going to try and carjack you for.

The pics above didn't display but came over as attachments. Sorry for the confusion but I already got the Maxima.

Well done, squeeb. You chose what you like, and that is all that matters. You're the one who has to be satisfied, and you picked a great looking and handling car. Sounds like you probably got a good deal on it, too.

    Enjoy!
