Hey Guys,
Which one is the better receiver in general?
I will be running Monitor70 2.0 setup.
You input is much appreciated!
Thanks

Between the two you have listed. I would go with the Yamaha.

That Pioneer is newer and has more network features like AirPlay, Pandora etc... Pioneer and Yamaha each have their own room correction software (i.e. a non-Audyssey program). I'm not familiar with either but since the Pioneer's is 3-4 years newer it could potentially be more advanced. If it's something you would use you should probably do more research on that. Also, the Yamaha won't support 3D if you're into that.
If it was my decision I'd go with the Pioneer but the Yamaha is nice too. -
Don't that suck. One for Yamaha, one for Pioneer. I have a Yamaha RX v2400 and a Pioneer Elite vsx-33. For 2 channel system with no external amp. I would still go with the Yamaha.

Which one can you get for cheaper?
And, have you looked at the features you want now or are considering to make sure both of these are viable selections?
[fyi - I still have a V1800 for movies and multi-channel music when the mood strikes me - and overall have been pleased with it. I have moved up for 2-ch listening though by using an integrated amp with HT Direct for my SACD & TT connections.]
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -
Thanks for the input guys, I will stick with the Yamaha and I'm thinking of picking up a Yamaha A-S500 AMP for stereo mode.Audio system lost to water damage...
