Can Monitor 10Bs take Peerless tweeter?

I have a friend who has a bad tweeter in his Polk Monitor 10Bs, He wants to find replacement tweeters for them. The tweeters he has now are the silver dome tweeters, if that is what they are called.

Can he get a used pair of original Peerless tweeters and put those in his 10Bs?

I have always had Polk Monitor 10s (early 10s, 10As) with the Peerless tweeters and told him how great they are and now he wants to replace his tweeters with the Peerless tweeters (if he finds any on the auction sites).

I have never had 10Bs myself and don't know if those can take the Peerless tweeter.
Please let me know and I will pass along the info to him. I also told him he needs to join Club Polk but he is not much of a computer/internet person. Imagine that in today's world!

Yes, BUT--the crossovers aren't "tuned" for Peerless (and you'd have to make some mechanical adjustments to the cabinet cut-out). The best thing to do is replace the SL2000 tweets with RDO-194 (from Polk). I did a couple of months ago and don't regret it!

Be sure to tell your friend when calling Polk Customer Service, to specifically tell them he's a member of Club Polk. Otherwisw he won't get the discount and free shipping. He should also join the forums in any case.
