hello out there. 
bought a pair of Polk 7c speakers today on CL for $60 and they are about brand new looking!
sound is quite good.
wondering about the crossover upgrade.

Congratulations. That is a great price on some very nice sounding speakers. I have a pair of the Monitor 7Bs and like them a lot. I do not know about the crossover upgrade but there are lots of wonderful and knowledgeable people on this site who will be able to help you with your crossover upgrade question. thanks a lot for the prompt responses. they really do sound good! the thing that really gets me is that they look brand new really. the corners aren't rounded; they are square! it looks like they are just right out of the boxes!

Congratulations, jestwaitn! The Polk 7s are wonderful speakers. And you got them at an unbelievable price! I have a pair of 7Bs (which I had been trying to sell with no luck so I will keep them) and really love them. The only reason I was thinking of getting rid of my 7Bs was due to having too many speakers (Monitor 10s, SDA 2Bs, PSB speakers etc). The Monitor 7s have a great soundstage, very clear and transparent, with excellent imaging. I really love the original Monitor series - the Monitor 5, Monitor 7, Monitor 10. They are all great!

i like stereo sound, not the surround, so they are hooked to a HK stereo receiver. high current, 80 wpc and very clear sound stage and strong bass. it's a dynamite combo! i truly think the polk speakers are the best i've ever heard! -
thanks much book. you got quite a nice collection. i'm working on getting a larger pair of the polks - 2B. but the 7C is just fine! i am quite contented.
